This two-part course will investigate the importance of understanding cyber-security to protect patients and dental practices, and review the various uses and benefits of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in dentistry.

With cyber-attacks on the rise across dentistry, including at the ADA, part one of this two-part course will focus on what you can do to protect your patients and dental practice from being another victim. We will discuss common sense activities and strategies to keep your patient and practice information HIPAA compliant.

The second part of the course will focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI). AI is becoming an important part of today’s technology-driven dental practice. Patients and dental teams are using AI in a variety of ways. We will review the history of AI and it’s various uses within dentistry, as well as how it can improve overall dental practice production, profitability, and patient care.

● Discuss cybersecurity, ransomware, and phishing
● Review the history and basic concepts of AI
● Examine the uses and benefits of AI in dentistry
